Dental implantation

Return

Dental implants are the most effective method of restoring one, several or all of your lost teeth. Teeth are restored by inserting implants into the site of the lost teeth without pain. An implant is a tiny screw made of durable materials that replaces the root of a tooth. The final restoration of the teeth is made by prosthetic treatment.

Benefits of dental implants

  • Restores full dental function
  • The procedure is quick and painless
  • Prevents numbness of the jawbone
  • Teeth look very aesthetic
  • You can chew and enjoy food without fear
  • Allows you to say goodbye to appearance complexes for good

Why dental implants?

Tooth loss is much more than just an inconvenience. It means complex challenges to your health. Patients experience speech problems: they start to sniff, they don’t pronounce words clearly. Even the loss of a few teeth makes chopping food much harder. This, in turn, leads to indigestion, increased stomach acidity and even ulcers! Of course, the disorders are also accompanied by aesthetic problems: when a tooth is lost, the jawbone starts to melt away. This leads to changes in the patient’s facial features, such as hollowing of the cheeks and deepening of wrinkles around the mouth.

All these changes lead to deep psychological complexes. Patients avoid socialising with friends and family, stop smiling and spend time at home.

Dental restoration options

After loss of one tooth
Implant placement is available as a single-moment or delayed implant. If you choose a single-moment restoration, you can have the tooth extracted in one visit, the implant threaded in and a temporary crown fitted. With delayed implant placement, the implant is threaded in after the gums have healed from the tooth extraction, and the prosthesis is attached after the implant has grown into the bone.
After the loss of several teeth
If you have lost several adjacent teeth, there is no need to thread as many implants as the number of teeth lost! The 2 implants per 3-4 teeth method is used.
If all teeth are lost
If you have lost all or most of your teeth, there are several options: the All on 4 method: 4 implants are threaded and a fixed prosthesis is placed on top. 6, 8, 10 implants: the planned number of implants is threaded and the teeth are restored with special crowns. A higher number of implants gives a more natural result and better chewing function. Cost-effective implant placement: 2 implants are threaded into the jawbone. A removable plate prosthesis is attached to them. This is the most cost-effective implant method, providing reliable chewing, phonetics and aesthetics.
What to expect after dental implants?

After the restoration of teeth with implants, the patient soon returns to normal life: they can enjoy the food they want, and their teeth regain all their chewing, phonetic and aesthetic functions. However, in the first few days after the dental implant placement, slight bleeding, sensitivity, swelling of the oral tissues and sores may occur. These sensations should be relieved with medication prescribed by your doctor.

If you follow all your doctor’s instructions, the process of dental implants fitting will be fast and you will avoid complications. Dental implants are successful in 99% of cases, making them an extremely safe and effective choice!
